The Jolly Roger In Sefton Park
In 1972, to coincide with Sefton Park's bi centenary, a pirate ship was placed in the upper Jordan watercourse. The ship was known as the Jolly Roger and lasted until the early 90s.
This film was taken in 1974, just two years after the ship was lowered by crane into the watercourse. We can see the Jolly Roger in pristine condition complete with it's pirates' looking out of the windows.
